Paul Folino

(1948-2023)

Paul Folino, who served as Lead Director of the Board of Directors for Commercial Bank of California, built an impressive business portfolio while serving in top executive positions for numerous Fortune 500 companies. Paul served as Chairman Emeritus of Emulex Corporation, after joining the company as President and Chief Executive Officer more than 20 years ago. Prior to joining Emulex, Paul was President and Chief Operating Officer of the Thomas-Conrad Corporation, which experienced growth from $18 million to nearly $60 million during his tenure and recognition by INC. Magazine as one of the fastest growing privately held corporations in America. Earlier, he served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Eczel Corporation; a distributor of computer supplies, accessories and peripherals. Paul’s early career experience was garnered during his 14-year tenure with the Xerox Corporation where he held various sales and management positions, eventually earning the title of Region General Manager.

Paul was recognized as the 1999 Orange County Co-Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst and Young and 2000 Orange County Director of the Year for high growth technology by the Forum for Corporate Directors. In 2006, he was recognized by the LA Times as “one of the top 100 most influential” people in Southern California and “Orange County Philanthropist of the Year” by the Association of Fund Raising Professionals. More recently, in 2013 Mr. Folino was recognized by the Orange County Business Journal as one of the “top 50 most influential business leaders in Orange County” and elected into the Toshiba Classic Hall of Fame in 2015 and the Cal State Fullerton University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2016 for his philanthropic support of the past decade.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Central Washington State University and his Masters of Business-Administration from Seattle University. Paul sits on the boards of Microsemi Corporation and Lantronix Corporation, and serves as Chairman of CoreLogic Inc., in the corporate sector as well as several non-profit boards including Cal State Fullerton’s Foundation Board, the Orange County High School of the Arts, the Discovery Cube and Chapman University’s President’s Council.
