A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Mark has held pivotal leadership positions, including Chief Financial Officer at Hanmi Bank and AmWest Funding Corp. His background in mergers and acquisitions, risk management, and financial structuring has been instrumental in strengthening CBC’s financial foundation.
At CBC, Mark is dedicated to ensuring the bank’s long-term stability and security, protecting both the institution and its clients. His expertise in capital adequacy, financial analytics, and stress testing helps maintain CBC’s financial resilience, while his ability to strategically reinvest profits into the bank’s technology and infrastructure ensures that CBC continues transforming the banking space for the betterment of its clients. Beyond his work at CBC, Mark is passionate about educating the next generation of financial professionals. Since 2015, he has served as a part-time lecturer at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona), teaching undergraduate courses in intermediate and advanced accounting, financial reporting and analysis, managerial accounting, and auditing. Through his teaching, he shares real-world insights, mentors students, and helps prepare them for successful careers in finance and accounting.
