Ash Patel, Chairman of the Board, CEO and President, has been recognized as one of the 2026 Banking and Finance Visionaries by the LA Times Studios.
The annual Banking & Finance Visionaries list highlights influential leaders across Southern California who are shaping the future of financial services through innovation, leadership, and measurable impact. The honorees represent a diverse group of bankers, advisors, and financial professionals whose work over the past two years has demonstrated both exceptional achievement and meaningful contributions to the communities they serve.
Patel’s recognition reflects his transformative leadership at CBC. With more than 30 years of banking experience, he has guided the bank through a period of extraordinary growth and innovation. Under his leadership, CBC expanded from $200 million in assets in 2013 to more than $3.8 billion in 2025, successfully completing the bank’s Purposeful Journey to a Billion Dollar Bank (PJ2B) initiative and earning multiple Best Places to Work in Southern California honors between 2022 and 2024.
Patel has also spearheaded several strategic acquisitions: including National Bank of California, and ACH payments companies VeriCheck, and ACHWorks, that significantly expanded CBC’s technological capabilities and strengthened its payments infrastructure. Most recently, he led the acquisition of Community Bank of the Bay, further expanding the bank’s ability to serve entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and small businesses throughout California.
Beyond his professional achievements, Patel is deeply committed to philanthropy and community development. He founded the Siksha Foundation, which builds schools and supports educational opportunities for underprivileged children in India and Africa.
Through his leadership, CBC continues to redefine relationship-driven banking by combining high-touch client service with forward-looking financial technology solutions.
