Promoting Financial Literacy

CBC supports many financial literacy programs in partnership with various organizations. These programs use a variety of both traditional and innovative methods to help children and young adults learn the value of money. These include basic financial literacy training, financial role-playing games, coaching, mentorship and individualized counseling.

Career, Resume and Interview Counseling
We work with organizations like Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Orange County to help provide essential services for young people entering the workforce. These programs include mock interviews, resume preparation, career workshops, and more.
Innovative Approaches to Life Coaching
CBC partners with organizations like Junior Achievement and Miracle for Kids to provide guidance to kids and parents on navigating life’s challenges, including innovative “life simulation” programs to help kids prepare for the future.

Supporting a More Inclusive & Equitable Future

CBC is a minority owned and managed bank. Our leadership and board of directors are deeply involved in the communities we serve and committed to improving avenues of advancement for everyone. This includes a strong commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) initiatives that amplify the voices of underserved communities and promote greater access to opportunity.

Supporting Minority Owned Businesses
We believe that a more diverse business community is a stronger business community. CBC continues to focus on providing loans and working capital to minority owned businesses. It’s part of our mission to create a more equitable future for our communities.
Maintaining Diversity in Vendor Relationships
CBC actively seeks opportunities to partner with vendors that are minority owned and/or have robust internal initiatives to promote diversity within their own operations.

Digital Security & Fraud Prevention Training

CBC conducts free webinars for our clients and partners on topics such as protecting digital assets and sensitive information in an increasingly insecure online environment. Fraud and digital security breaches are a major threat to organizations of all kinds. Our educational webinars are one of the many ways we contribute to protecting the organizations that operate in our communities.
Helping Non-Profits Protect Their Assets
We know that funding and anonymity are two of the most important things for nonprofits in our communities. With fraudsters growing in skill and frequency, it’s extremely important that we help protect the many organizations that are doing important work in our communities. We offer free webinars, blogs, how-to’s and Q&As for any non-profit organizations in our communities so they can learn about the different ways they may be vulnerable or targeted, and how to protect themselves and the good work they do for our communities.
