Thomas House: Resume Building June 13th, 2022

We Wanted to thank a group from our very own CBC Family that dedicated time outside of their work hours to volunteer for a very special organization, Thomas House Family Shelter.

Thomas House Family Shelter was officially founded in 1986. With the support of the City of Garden Grove and the County of Orange, Thomas House became the owner of two entire buildings, with a total of 24 apartment units which aided families with children, and adults to attain increased employment opportunities and added both Youth Mentoring, Youth Sports, and Enrichment Programs to further help our youth overcome the cycle of poverty and prepare for a successful future.

Brooke Crockett, Jenny Bode, David Andrade, Jonathan Nguyen, Gabby Orozco & Richard Cheng we would like to thank you for your dedication and utmost professionalism as you truly made a difference in the lives of many of the residents at Thomas House. Our amazing team of volunteers shared their knowledge and expertise during our Resume Building teach segment and provide insight and confidence to those seeking employment during the Mock Interview segments.

A volunteer opportunity of this caliber should never go unnoticed. Thomas House helps its residents overcome poverty and prepares them for a better future & with your help we were able to contribute to the residents to learn how to answer difficult questions, develop interview strategies, improve their communication skills, and reduce their stress before an actual job interview.

With that being said, we would like to acknowledge Gabby Orozco you helped translate during each event we hosted with Thomas House Family Shelter. You truly helped relay the information and keep the residents engaged with our communication making our events a success!
